Tennesssee Trip / Birthday Report

This was my late birthday/easter selfie.

The weather was beautiful! We couldn' t have asked for better weather. It was in the 80's the whole time and sunny.
These are all my band kids that went on the trip.

So the first day of our trip was really fun! All kids loved it!

We went zip lining first. I didn't because I'm terrifed of heights but those that wanted zip line, we played dutch blitz.

After everyone got done zip lining, we all got fitted up with our rafting gear. I'm not a very adventurous person so I was kind of nervous for rafting. Luckly I was with my friend Opie. He helps keep me from freaking out most of the time. During our 1 1/2 trip down the Pigeon River two of our group members fall out but don't worry we got them back in and they were fine. I found rafting fun and terrifying at the same time. I would probably do it again.

When went to dinner in Gatlinburg at Bubba Gump's. They surprised be with the waiters and waitresses singing to me and two other people for our birthdays. After dinner we broke off in our groups and explored the cool little town Gatlinburg. I had a whole group of girls so guess what we did. We shopped! I mean what else would a group of 7 females do. Gatlinburg is such a neat town. There so much going on. After we got done exploring we went back to the hotel and the kids swam for a little bit and surpised us again with a huge cake for me and the other twos birthdays. Then we went to bed. I say my birthday was pretty great. :D

Our second day was mostly in Nashville.

First thing we did when we got to Nashville was get a tour at the RCA recording studio. The band and show choir also had the opportunity to record a song where so many talented and famous musicians have recorded before. Like Elvis and Dolly Parton. It was so cool and our little band sounded great! The Coudersport Marching Band made our mark in music history. (the picture above is in the RCA recording studio)

Next we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame. That's where the band performed outside and the Show Choir performed inside. Both groups did a wonderful job! I was so proud all of our kids! After all the performance were down we did a self guided tour of the museum.

For lunch we went to the Wild Horse Saloon. We had BBQ foods and the kids also got to hear their records for the first time. SO COOL! Then we had a line dancing lesson which was really fun.

Then it was time to head back to Pigeon Forge. We had dinner at cool restaurant and kids had a lot of time at the pool. My three friends and I played Dutch Blitz which was super fun.

Our last and final day in Tennessee. First we went to the Mountain Coaster. I was brave and went on it. Again I'm not an adventurous person so it took a lot for me to go on it. After that we went to Dollywood.

Dollywood was nice. My period decided to pay me a visit so I was kind of crampy and was feeling a litte blah so I didn't end up riding any rides. I figured I really didn't want to push myself too much. My girls had a fun on the rides and of course we did more shopping and had lunch together so it was still fun. Also I got to have Dip'n Dots! :)

After Dollywood we had dinner at Dixieland Stampede. That was a lot of fun to. Was a dinner theater kind of thing. Then it was get on the bus and travel 12 hours to get back to Coudersport, PA.

So that's a pretty shortened version of our trip. We all made some many wonderful memories together. I just love all our kids and the people I get to work with. I'm so blessed!

Well I hope you enjoyed my report. Thank you to anyone who reads the whole thing.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! :DD
